Who is Queen Makeda?

When choosing names for the lotion, we were inspired by one of the greatest women of the ancient world, Makeda, better known as the Queen of Sheba. She was mentioned in the world’s main sacred books such as the Christian Bible and the Muslim Quran; as well as in Jewish legends, Arabian tales and Ethiopian legends.
All of these books describe the queen as a wise and incredibly beautiful woman. One of the most interesting stories tells how Makeda met Judaic King Solomon and describes their romantic relationships.
According to the legend, before the queen arrived, evil tongues had whispered to Solomon that she had ugly goat hooves under the long dress. Who knows what if a beautiful woman is obsessed by a devil? Therefore, the king built a special hall for the meeting. It was filled with water, where fish swam. The floor was made of glass, and when Makeda stepped on it, she instinctively lifted the dress not to damp it. Solomon had time to see that the legs of the queen were totally human, but very ugly as they were covered with thick hair.
Of course, it did not prevent the king from falling in love with Makeda. They say, their conversations lasted for days, and their love – for eternity, despite the fact that they ruled separately in different kingdoms. But it was at the court of Solomon where they invented the first hair removal product for the Queen of Sheba. It was a mixture of arsenic and quicklime.
Makeda was said to make essences from herbs, pitches, flowers and roots. She is considered one of the first perfumers, and she was an expert in astrology and medicine. The Queen arranged the “Councils of Wisdom” where initiates from all continents who were very proud of their knowledge gathered. We are also proud of the opportunity to apply our knowledge of the herbal power for your beauty.
